Chess and draughts were first introduced to school by our previous Principal Mr Pat Ryan. 

Chess continues to be promoted by Ms. M. Donnellan our 4th class teacher and this term 4 teams of 8 will represent the school at the Ficheall Chess Tournament in Cavan.

In term 3 our chess teams will represent our school in the Ficheall competitons in Longford.

Draughts continues to be promoted by our Deputy Principal, Mr. P. Tighe.
